Guest scores and detailed hotel feedback
The hotel is situated near Aldgate East tube station, ideal for exploring nearby Brick Lane and the City areas. The staff, particularly Marco, were nice and accommodating. The location is very convenient, next to tube and bus stations, making travel easy. Despite ongoing upgrades, my short stay at the Marlin was almost perfect.
The hotel had very spacious rooms with great facilities throughout, but there were too many flies and insects due to the window being left open for a long time. The service was a mix of being really helpful and very unprofessional and rude at times. The location was excellent, close to public transport and key attractions, although undergoing upgrades. The dining experience was not worth the money, offering a grab and go breakfast which lacked variety. Overall, a good choice for those seeking convenience and comfort despite some shortcomings.
The hotel offers spacious rooms that go beyond typical one-bedroom apartments, ideal for longer stays or families seeking more than just a standard hotel room. While the room quality is consistently impressive, there may be hidden charges not clearly communicated upfront, impacting the overall value. The service provided by the staff proved to be a lifesaver in a dire situation, showcasing their dedication to guest satisfaction. The location offers easy access to halal food, Kew, Richmond, and Central London, with convenient public transport options nearby. Dining options are limited to nearby establishments, with no on-site breakfast available.
The hotel is conveniently located in a decent neighborhood with amenities and shops within reach, just near the apartment. Although the lack of air conditioning was disappointing for the price paid, the proximity to local facilities is a plus.
Checking in at 8 pm, I found out my room wouldn't be ready for another two hours. However, the hotel is conveniently close to the city center and just a short walk from the tube station. There's a shop next door for any food needs, making it a nice base for exploring London, especially for family stays. On the downside, the room was filthy.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The location is convenient for exploring the rest of London, with close proximity to Aldgate tube and various markets, though it felt slightly unsafe. The service was friendly and accommodating, but cleanliness issues with the apartment were a downside. The dining options were limited, with a small continental breakfast available. The rooms were spacious, suited for a family with older children, but the uncomfortable sofa was a drawback.
The hotel is in a great location, close to public transport and nice coffee shops and restaurants. However, the night experience was marred by overbooking issues. The rooms were spacious and modern, but there was a strange smell and a hefty security deposit requirement.
The hotel offers clean and spacious rooms with a great view from the balcony, convenient for self-catering, and at a reasonable rate for groups. The service is top-notch with friendly and helpful staff available, especially during late hours. Though a bit distant from central London, the location is easily accessible with nearby Tube stations. The dining options are limited but with grab-and-go breakfast choices. Facilities are adequate and satisfactory.
